Our Toddler Room Educators are Miss Maddy, Miss Sokphany and Miss Tamaura. Miss Maddy and Miss Sokphany both hold Diploma\u2019s in Early Childhood whilst Miss Tamaura holds a Cert 3 and is working towards her Diploma in Early Childhood. In our Toddler Room our educators strive to provide a welcoming environment for families and their children.<\/p>\n We like to work closely with our families to build a close relationship. We highly value parental input and respect families as their children\u2019s primary educator. We are here to help provide support and guidance in your child\u2019s education.<\/p>\n Our Daily program is built off three key elements in accordance to the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), the first Children\u2019s Input. Our Toddler educators strongly believe in play-based learning. We observe the children\u2019s current interest and build the program around what they are currently enjoying. This take\u2019s place by observing what the child is interested in and setting up\/providing an activity to foster their enjoyment and learning.<\/p>\n Play-based learning\u00a0is described in the EYLF as ‘a context for\u00a0learning\u00a0through which children organise and make sense of their social worlds, as they actively engage with people, objects and representations’ (EYLF, 2009, p. 46).<\/p>\n The second element is Family Input much like children\u2019s input we use the information our families have provided about what their child\u2019s current interest are, or what skills they are working on developing at home, to help develop our daily program. The reason for this is stated above that we are here to assist families as the children\u2019s primary educators.<\/p>\n The third element is Teacher Initiated between the age of 18 months and 2.5 years there is a lot of growth and development that occurs. We design our daily program individually around each child so that we can help each child achieve the developmental milestones that they are currently going through.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section> We have two broad main goals we strive for each year in our toddler room Self Help Skills, and Social \u2013 Emotional Skills.<\/p>\n We encourage independence and responsibility with our toddlers. For a quick overview this means our toddlers learn to, clean up after mealtime, put their own belongings away, put their toys\/activities away, wash their own hands, put their shoes on.<\/p>\n This is the age where you really see a child starting to form friendships, wanting to play in groups. It is also the age where children go through the age of everything belonging to them and not wanting to share. We help the toddlers learn to identify their emotions and give them tools and guidance on how to navigate these situations.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section><\/p><\/div> Monday – Friday (Excluding Public Holidays)<\/p>\n 6:30am – 6:00pm<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div><\/section><\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
